Business Licences
Most businesses operating in Mackenzie County are required to obtain an annual Business Licence, including home-based, commercial, industrial, and contracting businesses. This requirement applies even if your business is based outside the County but provides services within it, unless specifically exempt under legislation or County bylaw.

Some activities may be exempt from licensing, such as garage sales or certain agricultural operations not involving retail sales. Registered non-profit organizations are encouraged to register and are not charged a licensing fee.
The annual Business Licence fee is $50, with a $25 fee for amendments, replacements, or ownership changes.
