One Special Adventure Pack

One very special 2026 Adventure Pack includes a Minister’s Special Licence for a Hay-Zama wood bison hunt.

The Minister’s Special Licence is not separately available for purchase. It is included only in one 2026 Adventure Pack and is subject to all applicable restrictions, terms, conditions, Minister’s requirements, and Alberta hunting rules.

Public hearing to be held for draft La Crete Area Structure Plan.

Mackenzie County has prepared an Area Structure Plan (ASP) to guide how land is used and where La Crete grows over the next 20 years.


The Public Hearing will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 in the Mackenzie County Council Chambers in Fort Vermilion (4511-46 Avenue).


The draft La Crete Area Structure Plan may be viewed at www.planmackenzie.com.


Those who would like to attend virtually can register by September 30, 2026 with the Director of Legislative Support Services at (780) 927-3718 or by emailing legislative@mackenziecounty.com as per Bylaw 1386-25 Procedure and Conduct of Public Hearings.
