Proposed Bylaw - 1427-26

Pursuant to the Municipal Government Act, being Chapter M-26 Council the Statutes of Alberta, notice is hereby given that Mackenzie County will hold a public hearing prior to the second reading of Bylaw 1427-26.

The proposed amendment is to the zoning districts of Rural Industrial Light (RIL) and Rural Industrial General (RIG) in the Land Use Bylaw 1244-21, (add Industrial Camp with under 40 beds as a permitted use and Industrial Camp with over 40 beds as a discretionary use.)

1.    That the Mackenzie County Land Use Bylaw Section 12.9.2 be amended with the addition of Industrial Camp use to the Rural Industrial Light (RIL) district and

2.    That the Mackenzie County Land Use Bylaw Section 12.10.2 be amended with the addition of Industrial Camp use to the Rural Industrial General (RIG) district.

The Public Hearing will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2026 in the Mackenzie County Council Chambers in Fort Vermilion (4511-46 Avenue). The proposed bylaw may be viewed at any Mackenzie County office during regular office hours.
