One Special Adventure Pack

One very special 2026 Adventure Pack includes a Minister’s Special Licence for a Hay-Zama wood bison hunt.

The Minister’s Special Licence is not separately available for purchase. It is included only in one 2026 Adventure Pack and is subject to all applicable restrictions, terms, conditions, Minister’s requirements, and Alberta hunting rules.

Mackenzie County is advising Hamlet residents to be aware of CC pipes that appear more exposed than usual on their property this spring. As frost shifts and thaws in the ground, it can push these pipes upward, causing them to sit higher than they normally would. CC pipes are an important part of the water service connection for each property, and changes in their height can indicate ground movement or potential issues that may require attention. Residents are encouraged to take a moment to check the CC pipe on their property and note whether it appears more exposed than in previous years.


If a CC pipe is sticking out more than usual, residents are asked to contact the La Crete County Office at 780‑928‑3983 or the Fort Vermilion Office at 780-927-3718.


County staff will assess the situation and determine whether any adjustments or maintenance are needed to ensure the pipe remains safe and functional.
