Public Notice: Temporary Occupancy (Ice Fishing Shacks) and/or Storage of Recreation Equipment Permits

Mackenzie County is accepting applications from the public starting March 23, 2026 for Temporary Occupancy (Ice Fishing Shacks) and/or Storage of Recreation Equipment on available space located on the south and east sides of Bistcho Lake.

Applications must be completed in person at any Mackenzie County office during their regular office hours. Permits are issued on a first‑come, first‑served basis at a cost of $500 annually per permit.

Permit markers will be issued to successful applicants and must be displayed on site.
