2026 Adventure Packs are a gateway to unforgettable local tourism experiences, incredible destinations, hidden gems, and inspiration for exploring one of Alberta’s most remarkable regions.

No adventure is the same in each of the 2026 Adventure Packs. They contain a collection of local adventures, experiences, information, and discoveries designed to inspire your next Mackenzie County adventure.

What is an Adventure Pack?

Every Mackenzie County 2026 Adventure Pack is a different invitation to explore.
 

Each pack contains adventures and local discoveries that celebrate Mackenzie County, rural Alberta, and outdoor adventure. Contents vary by pack and may include tourism information, local experiences, regional products, keepsakes, destination inspiration, maps, guides, and other items connected to the region.

Whether you are planning a road trip, looking for a new outdoor experience, or sharing Mackenzie County with someone else, each 2026 Adventure Pack from #1-500 is an unique opportunity to discover more, explore more, and adventure farther.

Minister's Special Licence Validity

Valid from August 25, 2026, to August 24, 2027. 

This licence is valid in Alberta’s Bison Hunting Zone within Wildlife Management Units 536 and 539, excluding a core protected area consisting of six townships (Townships 112 to 114, Ranges 2 and 3, west of the 6th Meridian), as identified in the 2026/2027 Hay-Zama wood Bison hunting season


This licence does not authorize hunting in any location where hunting is prohibited as outlined in the Wildlife Regulation and the Alberta Guide to Hunting Regulations.

Minister's Special Licence Requirements

The registered purchaser of the specially designated Adventure Pack must meet all applicable requirements and will be required to verify eligibility with the Forestry and Parks, Hunting and Fishing branch before the licence can be issued or used.

If the registered purchase of the specially designated Adventure Pack does not meet the required eligibility conditions, or does not provide the required information by the stated deadline, or cannot lawfully receive or use the license, the licence cannot be transferred, exchanged or resold.

All funds from 2026 Adventure Pack sales will be used to support trail and recreation development in rural Mackenzie County, for the benefit of ALL ALBERTANS.

The Minister’s Special Licence is non-transferable and not valid for resale. The designated pack purchaser must be eligible to hold an Alberta hunting licence and meet all applicable licence conditions, including valid WIN and Wildlife Certificate requirements.

One Special Adventure Pack

One very special 2026 Adventure Pack includes a Minister’s Special Licence for a Hay-Zama wood bison hunt. 

The Minister’s Special Licence is not separately available for purchase. It is included only in one 2026 Adventure Pack and is subject to all applicable restrictions, terms, conditions, Minister’s requirements, and Alberta hunting rules.
