Financial Aid

Applications for Disaster Recovery Program assistance for the 2020 floods are now closed. Please visit the Government of Alberta website for further information.

Funding applications for eligible small business owners and social non-profit organizations that were directly impacted by the 2020 floods are now closed. For further information, please visit the Red Cross online or call them toll-free at 1-800-863-6582.

Food Banks

The Fort Vermilion Food Bank is accessible to anyone within the Fort Vermilion area. To apply for a food hamper, please call the office and leave a voicemail with your name and contact information. Individual and family hampers are available. Call 780-927-3788.

The La Crete Food Bank is accessible to anyone within the La Crete area. For more information, contact La Crete Support Services. Call 780-928-3967.

Alberta Health Services offers a series of five refresher sessions designed for those who have taken Psychological First Aid (PFA). The Psychosocial Disaster Learning Series is publicly available on the Alberta Health Services‘ website, free of charge. Please note that this learning series is intended to be used as a pre-deployment refresher and does not replace PFA training. Sessions include:
