Mackenzie County has partnered with Alberta FireSmart to provide FREE FireSmart Home Assessments to Mackenzie County residents!
A FireSmart Home Assessment will help you to identify ways to protect your home from wildfire. Assessments are completed with your local Fire Department. Your address and other personal information are not recorded during your assessment. Any data collected is provided to Alberta FireSmart for statistical purposes only.
To register for an assessment, please call your County Office and leave your first name and phone number. You will also need to indicate which Fire Department you would like to conduct your assessment. The Fire Department will follow up to book an appointment at a time that works best for you!
Residents who are interested in obtaining a Fire Pit Burning Permit from the County are also able to have the required inspection completed during their FireSmart Home Assessment. Home Assessments will be ongoing throughout the summer and fall months.
